![]() The old system was a 4 into 1 Muzzy with an Akra can which Chris had previously mapped the ECU for. Took my 2012 ZZR1400 to CJS Racing last week to get Chris to re-flash my ECU with mapping to suit the newish exhaust, Akrapovic TI 4 into 1 system. Of course there is no obvious way of telling that the ECU has been flashed, for those of you that maybe overly honest, feel free to let your insurance company know of this performance upgrade! A PCV will set you back at least £280, then add the cost of installation and dyno mapping, an easy £400 plus. CJS Racing did a brilliant job, I am so glad that I did not have to send the ECU off to Guhl's or Ivan's in the US, especially since they do not offer fuel mapping in with their flashing services. The bike is still very smooth, low rev fueling seems to be spot on, no idle surging and most importantly, it now has a lot more power (like it needed it!). What this graph does not show is that now the secondary butterflies are now fully open at 3,000rpm's instead of 5,500, no need to pull the flies for those of us wanting more low end grunt! I hope to post more graphs, but this 6th gear pull clearly shows that the 300kmh speed restriction is now gone.Ĭhris then extended the redline to 11,400rpm's, he eliminated the O2 sensor (no engine warning light). In this graph, the blue line represents stock low power mode, the green is stock full power mode, the red is full power mode after the ECU flash, Chris managed to extract another 19bhp, it appears that the bike now has around 125lbs torque at 7500rpm's. ![]() My bike was completely stock with the exception of a 4 into 1 Akra, making 187bhp (about the norm for stock). ![]() Have been lurking here for a while, just traded in my 2006 for the 2012 Euro spec ZZR1400, absolutely loving it after the new upgrade.Ĭhris with CJS Racing near Bristol has just flashed and mapped my ECU, the dyno graph speaks for itself, I thought the 2012 ZZR1400/ZX14R was fast and powerful enough before the flash, now it is nothing short of amazing.
